Content Removal Policy

This policy describes how content is removed from Girlfriendly AI — whether at the request of the user who created it, in response to a report from any person, or on our own initiative when content violates our policies or the law. All content on Girlfriendly AI is AI-generated, and we apply the same removal standards to every image, video, chat, and character on the platform.

Removing your own content

You can delete your own generations, chats, and characters from within your account at any time. Deleted content is removed from public view immediately. Residual copies may persist briefly in backups and caches before being purged in the ordinary course, and we may retain records where required by law or needed for an active investigation.

Requesting removal of content

Anyone — with or without a Girlfriendly AI account — may request removal of content. Submit requests through our Report Abuse / Takedown Policy page or by emailing [email protected] with the subject line Content Removal Request. Include the URL or location of the content, the reason for the request, and any supporting evidence.

Grounds for removal include, without limitation:

  • content that depicts, or appears intended to depict, a real identifiable person without consent
  • content infringing copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights
  • illegal content of any kind
  • content violating our Terms of Service or content rules
  • content the depicted or affected person wants removed, even if previously permitted

Review timelines

Every removal request receives an initial human review within 24 hours of receipt. We aim to reach a final decision, and notify the requester of the outcome, within 7 days. Reports of illegal content, child sexual abuse material, or non-consensual intimate imagery are actioned immediately upon confirmation and prioritized ahead of all other requests.

Interim restriction

Where a request raises a credible claim that we cannot resolve instantly — for example, a likeness or consent dispute requiring verification — we restrict the reported content from public view while the review is pending, rather than leaving it visible until a final decision.

Illegal content

Content that is illegal, or that we in good faith believe to be illegal, is removed immediately without waiting for the standard review cycle. Where the law requires or permits, we preserve associated records and report to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities.

Appeals

If your content was removed, or your removal request was denied, you may appeal by replying to the decision notice or emailing [email protected] with the subject line Removal Appeal within 14 days of the decision. Appeals are reviewed by a person who was not involved in the original decision. We aim to resolve appeals within 7 days, and we notify you of the outcome and the reason for it.

Complaints about how a removal request was handled may also be raised under our Complaints Policy. For details on how content is screened before and after publication, see our Pre-Screening and Post-Screening Policy and Content Moderation Policy.
